2018 Egbujiobi Family Award for Excellence in Cardiac Care

Beloit Health System’s Hendricks Family Heart Hospital is acknowledging excellence in cardiac services for the fourteenth consecutive year. Derek Wettstein, RN in the Cath Lab was announced as the 2018 recipient of the Egbujiobi Family Award for Excellence in Cardiac Care. This award was established by Beloit Health System Cardiologist Dr. Leo Egbujiobi and his wife, Bridget, and is awarded through the Foundation

Derek serves as a role model to others, he is a driving force behind the success of the Cath Lab. He is actively involved with policies and processes within the Cath Lab most recently designing an Impella presentation as a lead resource to staff for the device. He is also involved in our Nurse Residency Program at Beloit Health System.

This award recognizes members of the Cardiology staff who show superior service and leadership in caring for cardiac patients. Hendricks Family Heart Hospital staff members are nominated by their peers for this honor. Also recognized for their outstanding contribution to cardiovascular were Diane Betz, RN, Carrie Donovan, RN, Nicole Horejsi, Pre-Auth, Theresa Mullvain, EKG Holter, Bobbi Stanley, RN, Andrea Torgerson, Ultrasonography and Hannah Zilliox, Rad Tech.
